Daily piece of useless information about Steff

I have recurring dreams of my teeth falling out. A few night ago, I had a dream where my canines were so loose, they were able to slide out of my gums by the roots. I went around protracting and retracting my fangs like a vampire until I woke up.

Today's useless piece of information about me

When I'm stressed out or nervous I literally tear out my hair. I noticed yesterday that I tend to brush my hair with my fingers when I'm studying (because I'm fidgety, because it's an unconscious action, because I need something to do with my hands??? Who knows) and I end up pulling out quite a bit :-S

That... was kind of sucky.

I just got back from the MMVAs (advantage #425654 of living downtown) and I have to say: in person it is total crap. Crappity crap crap craptacular crap. The main reason I went was because I'm total loser who doesn't have cable and I wanted to watch it, but couldn't :o So I figured, hey, why not just go and hang out an watch it live? Mistake.

First of all, it's full of idiot teenagers. I have nothing against teenagers in general, but this particular event was patronized EXCLUSIVELY by the idiot variety. Ugh, morons! All of them!

Secondly, it was waaaay too spread out. They had three stages:
1) on John St. between Queen and Richmond
2) in the parking lot
3) inside
The performances would alternate between the three, so if you wanted to watch them all, you had to keep on moving around the entire building in a big crowd. And of course, you'd be in the absolute back and unable to see anything. I stayed at the first stage and in the hour I was there, I only saw one performance (Billy Talent) and one presentation (whatever the last one was, w/ the OLP and Pilate folks) lol ZMP, they stood on the stage for like 5 min before the camera got on them and nobody in the crowd knew who the guys from Pilate were, and even after they George announced it, most ppl STILL had no clue :p :D

Thirdly, too much down time for the peeps outside. When the action wasn't near you, you couldn't watch the show. They didn't set up any big screens outside or anything, so it was the golden days of radio all over again. I was seriously reduced to watching the show play in the nearest cameraman's tiny black and white monitor. And like I said, everything was so spread out, 1/2 inside, 1/2 outside, and continually jumping from location to location, it was completely pointless to try to move and catch the action. So 9/10 of the time was just standing there doing nothing. At commercials they would cut the audio completely and it would just be listening to even more of the idiot teenagers. *groan* I just checked, they supposedly had 8 hosts. 8!!!!!!! Obviously no single one of them was particularly busy overall. You think that one of them could have come out once in a while during commercials or something and try to rile up the crowd. They're professional entertainers! Like they can't handle warming up a crowd. Uh... wait, no nm, they actually do suck at entertaining. They're all quite boring on air. So my new suggestion is: get some cheap ass city/much merch and throw it out to the crowd.

Fourth, I have to mention this as its own separate topic: Get a fucking screen outside so we can watch!!! OMG, it gets stupider the more I think about it. The people who are actualy there see the absolute LEAST of the show. I can tell you that for this reason, myself and most of the crowd was not at all lively during the Billly Talent performance. We all just kinda... stood there.

That is my warning to you all. Stick with your TVs. ;)

PS. Why is Much so white? Even the ethinc folk are really really pale. Bring back Master T!

I'm bad

Skipping lab today. So I want to take a break from looking at hominid skulls, sue me. Anyway, that's all I wanted to say; haven't posted here in a while so I figure I'll just throw my weight around.

Very very pointless, but...

I need to know.

It's been driving me crazy. I read the lyrics once in a while and listen to the song probably 20 times a day and I still have no fucking clue. What the hell do the lyrics to Fall to Pieces mean?

I need to know.

And if you're gonna say that they don't actually make any sense at all because Avril is not exatly the brightest or most literate person around but that it doesn't even have to make sense for everyone to love it just because she's Avril and that's the way things work so I should just stop caring about it so much and maybe move onto a new song because it sounds like I'm geting a bit *too* hung up on trivial stuff like this that is taking up time that could be much more valubly spent sleeping, then don't. I already knew that. :D

67.5 km isn't really as far as I thought it would be.

That's how far I biked today. First to the distillery district, all the way out to the end of leslie spit, to ashbridges bay park, back to the trail that runs near the DVP all the way up to the science centre, over to high park, down to the lakefront then back home. 67.5 km.

I'm tired.

Hope you have a lot of fun during the summer :D
